Benjamin A. “BJ” Joplin
Insurance is part of BJ’s blood. He began his career in insurance by assisting in his father’s agency. At age 18, he obtained his property and casualty agents license. Following law school, he began a career in insurance defense, coverage work, and civil litigation with a well-respected, large Midwest law firm. He joined Gibson & Associates in 2006, becoming it’s first staff lawyer, and strengthening its coverage and litigation skillsets. BJ transitioned from partner to owner in 2010, and since that time has led the Gibson team, transitioning away from domestic work to focusing on the London market.
Today he manages a crew of lawyers, claims administrators and staff-members whose focus is managing claims on behalf of the London market. BJ maintains his Law license, and enjoys participating in mediations and engaging in strategic management of claims.
